This sounds like a very obvious question, but people still ask all the time, “How much do you charge?”

My answer is simple – nothing!

All mortgage lenders pay commission to mortgage brokers. It’s usually a percentage of the size of the mortgage, so the higher your mortgage, the more commission I would earn.

Why I don’t charge a fee

When I started My Mortgage Angel back in 2016, my aim was to help people get the right mortgage for them. I believed, and still do, that if I charged a fee, I might not be able to help the people that need my advice the most.

I have spoken to many clients, who tell me that some other mortgage advisers won’t even talk to them if the mortgage they need is too small.  This is an approach I would never take.

How my business works

My business model is based on delivering excellent customer service to EVERYONE who wants to talk to me – no matter how large or small the mortgage need.

Even people who are not ready for a mortgage right now will be able to leave me an honest review on Facebook, and share my posts with their family and friends. One day, I hope to be recommended to someone they know; hence my business grows with lovely clients whom I genuinely want to help.

When you are ready for a mortgage, then I hope that you will be drawn to use my service to make the process as easy and understandable as possible.

Because I get paid commission when your mortgage starts, it’s in everybody’s interest to find you the right mortgage deal as quickly as possible.

In the future

I will send you a ‘Mortgage Anniversary’ card when you have just one year left on your mortgage term, as a reminder that I’m still looking out for you.

That card will tell you exactly when your fixed rate ends, and when I will be in touch to help you understand the right options (I hate rushing, so I assume everyone else is the same!)

With good time to plan your next step, I believe we will be best placed for you to make a smart choice.

What do I want?

All I ask in return for my fee-free, friendly mortgage advice, is that you are honest and open with me. That way, I can best advise you, and we can hopefully enjoy a pleasant long-term relationship!
